“Emerald Ant will run ‘Bubbles and Squeaks’ lantern workshops in Bradpole and Loders Village Halls in August. Come and make a speckled brown trout or ‘eco-warrior’ beaver lantern with artist, Sarah Butterworth, to celebrate our local rivers and chalk streams. You will acquire new skills in constructing with willow and tissue paper, and spend time decorating.
At the workshop you will find out why our rivers are so special in West Dorset, and learn a bit about the habitat of the Rivers Asker and Mangerton that flow through Bradpole and Loders.
Take your lantern home with you, and add lights to make it glow. Later in the year you can take it to the ‘Bubbles and Squeaks’ illuminated event in Powerstock.
Dress for mess and bring a pack lunch.
